Marcus Tullius Cicero (10643 B.C.) was a Roman orator whose writings
contributed to the literature of the time. His prose works are the
standard by which all other Latin writing is measured. In addition, his
writings helped to preserve Greek philosophy, and his four volumes of
correspondence paint a vivid picture of Roman political and cultural life.
